Δεν ανιχνεύθηκε ιός ευλογιάς πιθήκων (monkeypox) σε εργαστηριακή εξέταση δείγματος από το ύποπτο κρούσμα του άνδρα που νοσηλεύεται στο Νοσοκομείο Αττικό, σύμφωνα με πηγές του υπουργείου Υγείας.
Το δείγμα βρέθηκε θετικό σε δύο επαναλαμβανόμενους ελέγχους για τον ιό της ανεμοβλογιάς.
