Δέσποινα Παληαρούτα

Μηχανολόγος Μηχανικός, με πολυετή εμπειρία στη διαχείριση έργων, κυρίως στον τομέα της παραγωγής και της εφοδιαστικής αλυσίδας.

Ολοκλήρωσε τις σπουδές της στο Εθνικό Μετσόβιο Πολυτεχνείο το 2011 και είναι κάτοχος Μεταπτυχιακού (Μηχανικός Περιβάλλοντος και Διοίκηση Επιχειρήσεων) από το Imperial College του Λονδίνου και MBA από το Οικονομικό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών.

Εργάστηκε ως επικεφαλής στον σχεδιασμό, την ανάπτυξη και την υλοποίηση έργων ενός Στρατηγικού Χαρτοφυλακίου 11 πυλώνων σε μια από τις μεγαλύτερες Βιομηχανίες της χώρας, αναπτύσσοντας δεξιότητες στη Διαπραγμάτευση, στη Διαχείριση Αλλαγών, Ομάδων και Πόρων, και έχει εργαστεί ως υπεύθυνη λειτουργίας (operations manager) σε κέντρα διανομής στην Amazon UK.

Συνδυάζοντας την εργασιακή της εμπειρία και την αγάπη της για το «επιχειρείν», ξεκίνησε τη δική της επιχείρηση, η οποία δραστηριοποιείται στον Ιατρικό τομέα.

Διετέλεσε Γενική Γραμματέας Μεταφορών του Υπουργείου Υποδομών και Μεταφορών, με χαρτοφυλάκιο αρμοδιοτήτων που περιελάμβανε, μεταξύ άλλων, τις αστικές συγκοινωνίες, την ηλεκτροκίνηση, την οδική ασφάλεια, τη διασυνδεσιμότητα των μεταφορικών μέσων και, εν γένει, τις βιώσιμες και ασφαλείς μεταφορές.

Από τον Ιούλιο 2025, ανέλαβε τα καθήκοντα της Γενικής Γραμματέως Ενέργειας και Ορυκτών Πρώτων Υλών στο Υπουργείο Περιβάλλοντος και Ενέργειας.

Είναι παντρεμένη και έχει δύο παιδιά.

Career:

Mrs. Paliarouta has served as head of the design, development, and implementation of projects within a Strategic Portfolio of 11 pillars in one of the country’s largest industries, developing expertise in Negotiation, Change, Team, and Resource Management. She has also worked as Operations Manager at Amazon UK distribution centers.

Combining her professional experience with her passion for entrepreneurship, she founded her own business in the medical sector.

Mrs. Paliarouta has served as a project manager in the design, development and implementation of an 11- pillar Strategic Portfolio in one of the largest Industries in the country, developing skills in Negotiation, Change Management, Teams and Resources. Combining her work experience and her love for “entrepreneurship”, she started her own business, which operates in the Medical sector.

She previously held the position of Secretary General for Transport at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, overseeing, among other areas, urban transport, electromobility, road safety, transport interconnectivity, and sustainable and safe mobility.

Effective July 2025, she assumed the position of Secretary General for Energy and Mineral Resources at the Ministry of Environment and Energy.

Education:

Mrs. Paliarouta completed her studies at the National Technical University of Athens in 2011. She holds a Master’s degree from Imperial College London as well as an MBA from the Athens University of Economics.
