George Drimiotis, CEO Cardlink

George is endlessly pursuing growth and learning as the Chief Executive Officer of Cardlink for the last ten years. Cardlink is the largest payment network in Greece. In September 2021, Cardlink became part of Worldline, the European leader in the payments and transactional services industry and #4 player worldwide.

George is a global expert on payments with expertise in information technology and focus on providing IT as a service in Greece and Europe. Before joining Cardlink he held various roles for top technology companies. At First Data he was SVP for Greece and South East Europe, CIO EMEA and Chairman and CEO for First Data in Greece. At Delta Singular he was the General Manager of IT Outsourcing Services.

During these years George has been particularly successful in building purpose-driven, high-performance teams. He succeeded in building from scratch a processing infrastructure that became the largest payment processing company in SE Europe, has helped and advised many banks in the development of payment card programs, laid the foundations of a next generation cards processing system and built the largest payment acceptance network in Greece, always having as a priority to deliver great service to clients.

George’s goal is to live his three values. Be human, fair and just to others, be obsessed with detail insisting on excellence and pushing the limits by taking initiatives and never giving in.

He holds a BSc in Computer Science and an MSc in System Design from The University of Manchester. He has also attended various executive education programmes, at Harvard Business School, IMD Business School and MIT Sloan School of Management.
