Kώστας Γεράρδος

H επαγγελματική πορεία του Κωνσταντίνου Γεράρδου ξεκίνησε στην ηλικία των 8 ετών, στο Τμήμα Πωλήσεων Ειδών Σχεδίου του πρώτου καταστήματος της Πλαίσιο στη Στουρνάρη και συνέχισε όλα τα επόμενα Σαββατοκύριακα και τα καλοκαίρια, έως ότου αποφοίτησε από το Κολλέγιο Αθηνών το 1995.

Μετά τις σπουδές του στην Αμερική, το 2003, εντάχθηκε επίσημα στο δυναμικό της εταιρείας και ανέλαβε το site της εταιρείας, plaisio.gr, ενώ στη συνέχεια συμπεριέλαβε στις αρμοδιότητές του το δίκτυο καταστημάτων, το Marketing και το HR.

Από το 2012 κατέχει τη θέση του Διευθύνοντα Συμβούλου της εταιρείας, ενώ σημαντικοί σταθμοί στη μέχρι τώρα σταδιοδρομία του αποτελούν :

• η ένταξη της Πλαίσιο στη λίστα «Fortune’s Most Admired Companies» επτά φορές στην εννεαετή πορεία του θεσμού,
• η ανάδειξη της Πλαίσιο ως «Retailer of the Year» και «e-Retailer of the Year» τέσσερις φορές μέχρι σήμερα,
• η βράβευση της εταιρείας ως Best Workplace για δύο χρονιές (2017 & 2019), και
• ο τίτλος του «Retail Manager of the Year», για το 2020 και το 2022.

Ταυτόχρονα, ο κ. Γεράρδος έχει συμβάλλει στη δημιουργία της εθελοντικής ομάδας της Πλαίσιο, «Πλάι σου», μέσω της οποίας υλοποιούνται ενέργειες που σχετίζονται με την ένταξη της τεχνολογίας στην εκπαίδευση. Παράλληλα, είναι ο εμπνευστής της ομάδας αγωνιστικής ρομποτικής «Plaisiobots», η οποία κατέκτησε χρυσό μετάλλιο στη Διεθνή Ολυμπιάδα Ρομποτικής, καθώς και της «Atraktos» – μιας πρωτοβουλίας που έχει σκοπό να προωθήσει θετικά πρότυπα και να συμβάλλει μέσω διαφόρων δράσεων στην κοινωνία.

Konstantinos Gerardos’s professional career began at the age of 8, as a salesman of Design Equipment at Plaisio’s first store at Stournari St. and carried on throughout all weekends and summers until his graduation from Athens College in 1995.

After completing his studies in the USA, he officially joined the company’s personnel in 2003, being responsible for the newly formed e-commerce channel, plaisio.gr, while afterwards he led the management of the Stores Network, plus the Marketing and the HR Departments.

Since 2012, he holds the CEO position of the company, whilst other important milestones in his career to date include:

• the recognition of Plaisio as “Retailer of the Year” and “e-Retailer of the Year” four times,
• the company’s promotion as “Greece’s Best Workplace” for two years (2017 & 2019)
• the inclusion of Plaisio in the list of “Fortune’s Most Admired Companies” seven times in the nine-year course of the institution, and
• the “Retail Manager of the Year” title for 2020 and 2022

Konstantinos’ proudest moments are beyond business accomplishments and include the creation of the robotics team “Plaisiobots”, which won the gold medal at the International Robot Olympiad after a yearlong practice (2021), the creation of Atraktos initiative and a 30+ video series under the name “Atraktos Kids”, through which positive role models are promoted, as well as Plaisio’s volunteering team named “Plai sou”. To date, over 300 “Plai sou” volunteers have contributed to major actions related to education, such as the creation of the first STEM Library in a public school located in Athens, but also in the devastating wildfires of Northern Evia (August 2021), providing all necessary supplies for the new school year to the 3.089 students affected.
